Tyre/Cup Question
|
Hi:
As scheduled, PFRL Cup end 2 races before end of F1 season. Maverick has noted this gives a 2-race cushion, which I agree is useful. However, if we lose a race due to pandemic or Biblical flood or something (what a year), how does this impact tyre regulation? I am thinking, if possible, those of us hoping participate in play-offs try to use Option 3x before they start, so that we satisfy 5x regulation by using Option after end of Cup. What happens if season is shortened?
Grazie mille, Revolux

@Alan_T_Riley, I'd assume they'd only become enforced for the final 5 races of the season. 2 more races before those on all primes would have to switch.

Hello
It depends on the timing. If a race is canceled during the last 5 races, then there will be teams that will get away with 4 Option tyre races.
It's up to you, if you want to gamble.
