2013: Specification of the component costs calculation

The costs of the components driver, chassis and engine are calculated as follows:
Step 1)
Applied after race 1
Driver wins: +1 Mio. Driver not classified: -1 Mio.
F1 team drivers on place 1 and 2: Chassis and engine: +1 Mio.
F1 team both drivers not classified: Chassis and engine: -1 Mio.
The value changes from step 1 are preferential. Steps 2-4 only can enforce the value adaptation of step 1. (i. E.: from +1 to +2, +3, etc. and from –1 to –2, -3 etc.)
Lex series winner:
The component with the most points doesn't lose value as long as it is on top of the total points ranking list. In the case of a drop out or a fall-back in the ranking the loss in value per race is limited to –3 Mio.
Step 2)
First time applied after race 3.
Components are ranked in descending order according to the total points. The initial values (values prior to race 1) are assigned. (=fictitious value: FVT)
ACTVALUE = actual value of the component
Formula:
W1 = ROUND((FVT-ACTVALUE)/(number of remaining races);2)
Step 3)
First time applied after race 3.
Components are ranked in descending order according to the scored points in the last 3 races. The initial values (values prior to race 1) are assigned. (=fictitious value according to the last 3 races: FV3)
Formula:
W2 =ROUND((FV3-ACTVALUE)/( number of remaining races)*0,4;2)
W2 limited to min. –1,00 respectively to max. +1,00
Step 4)
W = ROUND(W1 + W2;0)
W is added up to the actual value of the component.

Step 1:
Ricciardo classified 13th: 0 Mio.
ACTVALUE = 17 Mio.
Step 2:
fictitious value: FVT = 26 Mio. (12th in ranking according to total points)
Formula:
W1 = ROUND((FVT-ACTVALUE)/(number of remaining races);2)
W1 = round((26-17)/9;2) = 1,00
Step 3:
fictitious value: FV3 = 34 Mio. (8th in ranking according the scored points in the last 3 races)
Formula:
W2 =ROUND((FV3-ACTVALUE)/( number of remaining races)*0,4;2)
W2 = round((34-17)/9*0,4;2) = 0,76
Step 4:
Formula
W = ROUND(W1 + W2;0)
W = round(1,00+0,76;0) = 2
New value of Ricciardo:
Formula:
NV = ACTVALUE + W = 17 Mio. + 2 Mio. = 19 Mio.

Hi. I am new at this . PFRL is a great fantasy game . I never cared so much Q1 , Q2 until discovered PFRL. This will be my first forum message also. I couldnt excatly understand the value system.
Last race Ricciardo's value increased by 2mio. Could you write here specific numbers so i can figure out ? Let me write what i get from what i read.
Fictious value of Ric: 26m ( I am not sure of it also. 1st 48m ,2nd 46m, 3rd 44m .... 12th 26m) ?
actual value: 17m
round :10 remaining : 9 so 10(26-17)/9= 10 mio. at the beginning his value was 14 mio. so should his value be 24 mio ? |

Step 1 and 2 is the calculation from last year.
Step 3 is the same calculation as it is in Step 2, but using only the last 3 race scores instead of all race scores. The result of Step 3 is multiplied with the factor 0.4 and is limited to –1 Mio. or +1 Mio.
In Step 4 just add the calculation results of Step 2 and 3.
Functions:
ROUND (calculation result;2) means: the result is limited to 2 decimal places
ROUND (calculation result;0) means: the result is limited to zero decimal places

Could someone give an example of such a calculation from this year? I understand the old method and the idea of fictitious costs, but I'm no familiar with some of the "spread-sheet" symbols/functions.
